Simi Valley, CA
$30–$36/hr + $2 Shift Differential for 2nd Shift DOE
1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is partnering with a global leader in industrial power transmission, motion control, and precision manufacturing solutions to hire experienced CNC Machinists for their growing operation in Simi Valley, CA.

Position Summary

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC Lathes and/or Mills to manufacture precision components to blueprint specifications. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, making machine offsets, and performing detailed inspections to maintain tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Lathes and/or Mills
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and written instructions
• Perform first article and in-process inspections
• Maintain part conformance to engineering specifications
• Make program offsets and machine adjustments as needed
• Utilize precision measuring equipment including indicators, bore gauges, and plate inspection tools
• Maintain accurate inspection and production records
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction
• Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Communicate production and quality results to leadership

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience
• Strong experience with CNC Lathes and/or Mills
• Ability to hold extremely tight tolerances (.0003”)
• Experience with precision inspection techniques
• Familiarity with AS9100, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Must be able to work from drawings and technical documentation
• Due to ITAR requirements, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder
