Electrical Superintendent

Position Summary

The Electrical Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing field operations on electrical construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role supervises field personnel, coordinates subcontractors, and serves as the on-site leader to drive success of our construction projects located throughout the Chicagoland area.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day field operations for electrical construction projects
• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate electricians, foremen, and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards
• Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure accurate execution
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve issues and maintain progress
• Monitor labor productivity, materials usage, and equipment needs
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications
• Maintain project documentation including daily reports, progress updates, and incident reports
• Identify and proactively resolve field challenges, delays, or conflicts
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on schedule, manpower, and risks
• Support project closeout activities including punch lists and final inspections

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical construction and 2-5 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
