BBSI has partnered with an innovative aerospace and environmental testing organization seeking an experienced CNC Programmer & Machinist to join our growing team in Glendale, CA.
This role is ideal for a hands-on machining professional with strong CNC programming experience who thrives in a high-precision, aerospace-regulated manufacturing environment .
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate HAAS VF2 and TL-1 CNC machines
- Operate and maintain OMAX waterjet equipment
- Machine small-run parts, prototypes, and custom fixtures
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure all parts meet quality and tolerance requirements
- Maintain shop organization, safety, and equipment upkeep
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve processes
- Train team members on machine shop equipment and best practices
Required Experience
- 5+ years of CNC programming and machining experience
- Strong experience with HAAS CNC equipment
- Experience with OMAX waterjet systems
- Experience working in an AS9100 or aerospace-regulated manufacturing environment
- knowledge of AS9100 documentation and quality standards
- Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot machining issues
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
