Job Description
Location: San Francisco, CA, New York City, NY, or Birmingham, AL (remote available)
Duration: ~6 months (summer/semester options available) with potential for full-time
Comp: $15 – $25/hr depending on experience and location
Reports to: CTO
The role: We're looking for engineers-in-progress who are serious about the craft and ready to work on real problems. If you're talented, curious, and hungry but not quite ready for a full-time eng role yet — this is your on-ramp. You'll work alongside senior engineers on production code, not side projects.
Depending on your interests, you could work on:
- Building and shipping features in React/Next.js, TypeScript, and Go
- Backend systems and API infrastructure in Node
- Tooling, developer experience, and internal platforms
- You're a strong student (bonus if you're at a school known for CS) but credentials matter less than ability
- You can think through a problem, not just copy a solution
- You want to learn what it actually takes to build software at a startup
