Head of Engineering - AI Product Company - Remote

As the Head of Engineering , you will be responsible for leading our engineering team, shaping our AI-driven product architecture, and ensuring our software solutions are scalable, secure, and high-performing. You will work closely with product, data science, and executive leadership to drive innovation and build industry-leading technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team.
- Define and execute the technical vision and roadmap for AI-powered software solutions.
- Drive best practices in engineering, AI model deployment, and DevOps.
AI & Product Development
- Architect and develop scalable AI-driven applications, with a focus on legal and medical use cases.
- Oversee the integration of Azure AI services and ensure the effective use of cloud technologies.
- Work with large volumes of unstructured data , including NLP, document processing, and AI/ML applications.
Technical Expertise & Hands-on Development
- Provide hands-on technical leadership in Python, SQL, and AI-focused development .
- Optimize data pipelines, model training, and inference processes for high performance.
- Ensure best practices in data security and compliance with industry regulations.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Partner with product and data science teams to align AI models with customer needs.
- Work closely with leadership to align technology strategy with business goals.
- Stay ahead of AI advancements and ensure continuous improvement in product capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of engineering experience , with at least 3+ years in a leadership role .
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and driving product architecture for AI-powered solutions.
- Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and working with large datasets (structured & unstructured).
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, Azure AI, and AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI, LangChain).
- Deep understanding of natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and AI model deployment .
- Experience in data engineering, ETL pipelines, and large-scale data processing .
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex AI and software challenges.
- Industry experience in legal tech, healthcare tech, or AI-driven document processing is a plus.
