A growing media and advertising technology organization is expanding its Data Engineering team and hiring a full‑time Senior Data Engineer. This role will focus on building and maintaining the data pipelines and infrastructure that power analytics, reporting, and business decision‑making across advertising, hardware, and retail partnerships.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to have meaningful ownership over a modern cloud data platform. You’ll work cross‑functionally with engineering, architecture, IT, product, and analytics teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high‑quality data solutions. Beyond hands‑on development, you’ll influence technical direction, mentor peers, and help shape best practices as the organization continues to mature its data capabilities.
This is a remote position with EST/CST preference.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience designing and maintaining ELT/ETL systems
- Strong proficiency in advanced SQL, data modeling, stored procedures, and query optimization
- Hands‑on experience with modern data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery
- Strong programming experience in Python (experience with Java or Scala is a plus)
- Experience building and maintaining scalable, secure data pipelines
- Experience working in AWS environments (S3, Lambda, Kinesis, SQS, or similar services)
- Ability to identify and resolve data quality and performance issues
- Experience collaborating in Agile development environments
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience creating datasets, dataflows, and dashboards in Domo or similar BI tools
- Experience integrating third‑party SaaS APIs such as Salesforce
- Familiarity with MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar NoSQL databases
- Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code and cloud‑native data services
- Experience contributing to CI/CD workflows and automated testing
- AWS or Snowflake certifications
