Are you a seasoned Quality Engineer passionate about precision and excellence? We are seeking a talented professional to ensure our CNC machining processes consistently meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. In this pivotal role, you'll lead quality initiatives across the shop floor, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement efforts that keep us ahead of industry standards.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent technical experience
- 5+ years of proven Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Proficiency with inspection tools such as CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
- Expertise in quality tools like PPAP, FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis, and 8D problem solving
- Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
- Familiarity with statistical software such as MiniTab or JMP
- ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA) and Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are a plus
Desired Skills & Additional Qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills to direct and train shop-floor quality teams
- Experience supporting supplier quality initiatives and audits
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) methodologies
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical) strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality within CNC machining or thermal product manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with calibration and maintenance of inspection tools
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to support customer and third-party audits (e.g., ISO 9001)
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug tests and background checks
- Willingness to travel if required for supplier evaluations or customer visits
