Hays Facilities Management are partnered with a leading cultural institution to hire a Chief Operating Engineer in NYC.
Your new role
The job duties of the Chief Operating Engineer will include the following:
- Oversight of all MEP activities at the site; including critical systems related to HVAC and humidification
- Provide technical guidance to teams of Engineers, scheduling, training and onboarding
- Work with department on Preventive Maintenance plans and logs
- Act as a liaison to both staff and guests
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Strong technical background in MEP needed- (Should be at Chief or minimum, Assistant Chief level)
- Proven expertise in NYC buildings, knowing codes and regulations
- Ability to respond to emergencies as needed
- Technical training, NYC Refrigeration license is highly desired, as is prior experience working with a cultural institution/museum
