This position is located on site in San Francisco. The Q3 Engineering team is a strong, accomplished organization of quality experts that strongly believes in Quality and Innovation. The Service Cloud Q3 team has been around for 9 years, championing Quality for Service Cloud. We are a strong 30-member team spread across the Americas, EU, and India regions. The team supports product quality for Service Cloud, a $9 billion revenue business, across multiple time zones. We are Quality advocates, educators, and auditors for the cloud. We’re hiring Q3 engineers to help us build the next generation of products. This is a great opportunity to work with some of the finest Quality experts supporting all Service Cloud products and developing productivity tools to improve test effectiveness, test frameworks, and test environments organization-wide. As a Q3 engineer, you will influence the design and drive our #1 value, Trust, across teams. Responsibilities Independently design and deliver code for products with a quality mindset. Provide guidance through code and design reviews for features delivered by other developers within your scrum team. Master the Salesforce development process and code base to improve it. Participate in a Test Design Review Board for integration test plans within and across clouds, focusing on functional, business, sophisticated scenarios, high-impact projects, usability, and accessibility. Understand cloud requirements, including underlying tech stack, business usage, and implementation. Create end-to-end, cross-cloud-impacting, integration automation (API and UI) with complex orgs. Work with customers to understand real-life usage and build test cases. Implement testing with org setup and varied data shapes. Organize and drive cross-product testing. Advocate for customer enhancements. Monitor product and feature-level quality health metrics (testability, test health, test coverage, etc.). Work closely with senior developers, PMs, and UX teams to ensure features meet business and quality requirements. Troubleshoot production issues. Required Skills 5+ years of related experience in quality engineering. Highly proficient in Java and JavaScript, along with associated toolchains (git, maven, npm, etc.). A related technical degree is required. Fluent with automation technologies such as JUnit, Jest, Selenium, and Jenkins. Solid understanding of REST principles. Proficient in writing functional automation (UI/API). Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
