Specific job requirements:

Review blueprints developed by PW Design engineering to ensure they meet customer quality requirements and needs.

Review work instructions developed by Manufacturing Engineering to ensure compliance and conformance to technical data and PWAA's quality system.

Review Purchase orders to ensure compliance with technical data and Pratt Whitney's quality system.

Assist in creating inspection plans and reports using various inspection software platforms.

Use industry standard RCCA methodologies to collaborate with multiple disciplines within client to develop and implement continuous improvement.

Regularly scheduled internal process and product audits assigned.


JD:

This position is for a Quality Engineer within client's OEM & AMO Legacy Division.

The role will be responsible for assisting in maintenance and management of client's OEM & AMO Legacy quality systems and procedures.

The candidate in this role will utilize his/her professional and technical abilities to collaborate with different departments within Pratt and Whitney and its customers to ensure that the product and the repair processes are both compliant and conform to AS9100 and customer specific quality requirements.


This position will involve:

Reviewing Blueprints & Work instructions to ensure compliance to all applicable Tech Data.

The identification & reporting of Inspection requirements based on blueprints, material specifications, and customer specific requirements.

Assist in the development of effective inspection plans.

Assist in data driven root cause and corrective action based on the voice of the customer and Nonconformance management.


Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of Quality or Engineering experience, Aerospace a plus

BA or BS required

Able to read, comprehend and interpret Blueprints, Military and Aerospace standards and requirements

RCCA / CAPA

Able to Communicate effectively to all organizational levels.

Proficiency with Microsoft O365 suite.


Preferred Qualifications:

GD&T (Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances) for design / print reviews

Geomagic or inspection software

PolyWorks

Familiarity with inspection fixturing and assembly jig practices

CAD Software Experience (Siemens NX preferred)

Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9000
