This role exists to own and standardize CNC manufacturing processes at scale , ensuring that what works in development translates into repeatable, production-ready success.

The Work You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex multi-axis CNC programming and process development initiatives
- Own manufacturing strategy from prototype (1-10 parts) through production (100-1,000+ parts)
- Develop and implement standards for tooling, fixturing, setups, and documentation
- Establish best practices across programming, machining, and process control
- Solve systemic manufacturing challenges across multiple teams
- Define and improve setup documentation and process control within ProShop MES
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production to ensure manufacturability and scalability
- Translate customer requirements into robust manufacturing processes
- Drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and repeatability
- Mentor machinists, programmers, and engineers across the organization
- Lead high-impact technical initiatives and support strategic programs
Machines, Controls & Software
You'll work closely with teams utilizing:
- Machines: Multi-axis CNC machining platforms (5-axis, mill-turn environments)
- Controls: Haas, Okuma, Heidenhain (deep-level understanding preferred)
- CAM Software: Hypermill and/or ESPRIT (preferred)
- Inspection: CMM systems, advanced metrology tools
- ERP/MES: ProShop MES

- Aluminum
- Stainless Steel

- Advanced aerospace materials
What We're Looking ForRequired
- 7+ years of CNC manufacturing / process engineering experience (or equivalent combination per education level)
- Expert-level experience with multi-axis CNC programming and machining strategies
- Proven ability to scale processes from prototype to full production
- Strong understanding of tooling, fixturing, and process optimization
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T and dimensional quality control
- Experience developing manufacturing standards, frameworks, or best practices
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred
- Experience with Hypermill and/or ESPRIT
- Background in aerospace or regulated environments (AS9100, ISO 13485 )
- Deep knowledge of Haas, Okuma, or Heidenhain controls
- Experience with ProShop MES or similar ERP systems
- External technical engagement (publications, conferences, industry groups)
