Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Salary Rate: $140,000 - $180,000
We're seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex electrical projects from preconstruction through closeout. You'll take ownership of bidding, estimating, planning, execution, and client communication, while also mentoring 1-2 junior project managers to help elevate the entire team. This role is all about driving results, strengthening relationships, and delivering high-quality projects with confidence and enthusiasm.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the full bidding process, including pre-bid meetings, site walk-throughs, and proposal development
- Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Develop and negotiate final scopes and contracts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, and internal teams
- Mentor, guide, and oversee 1-2 junior project managers
- Manage schedules, milestones, progress tracking, and project reporting
- Monitor budgets, forecast costs, and ensure project profitability
- Work closely with superintendents, foremen, other trades, and safety teams to maintain smooth, safe operations
- Communicate delays, scope changes, and cost impacts while driving effective solutions
- Oversee project documentation, including submittals, contracts, purchase orders, and revisions
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in electrical project management and estimating
- Proven success managing large-scale electrical projects ($30M-$200M)
- Experience mentoring junior PMs or leading project teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software (Accu-Bid, McCormick)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience preparing estimates over $1M
- Design-build experience is a plus
- Background in Institutional, Automotive, or Heavy Industrial electrical projects is required
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Pre-employment drug testing required
