Job Description

Design and implement systems to optimize transportation, warehousing, and inventory management; apply engineering principles to identify and implement improvements in logistics processes. Utilize ERP and WMS platforms to streamline cross-border supply chain and logistics operations. Apply logistics modeling techniques to address issues, including operational process improvement and optimizing international trade operations. Conduct logistics studies or analyses, such as time studies, zero-base analyses, rate analyses, network analyses, flow-path analyses, or supply chain analyses. Develop logistic metrics, internal analysis tools, and key performance indicators for business units. Support development and deployment of Logistics, Warehouse and Supply Chain Management processes with analytics, and evaluate effectiveness of current and future logistical processes. Leveraging technology and data analytics to improve global logistics operations and assist company management in business decision-making. Analyze processes to identify re-engineering opportunities which will create efficiencies and/or enhance controls. Identify opportunities to leverage intelligent automation solutions to increase process efficiency and reduce risks. Effectively plan and coordinate implementing process changes enabling teams to realize efficiencies or control enhancements. Collect and analyze vendor data in order to evaluate the efficiency of companys sourcing costs, logistics data, forecast supply markets, and formulate optimal sourcing strategies. Analyze inventory data to determine optimal inventory levels to keep inventory levels low while meeting customer service goals. Create and maintain forecast models for the customer demand, utilizing business intelligence and data gathered from different functions like sales, marketing etc. and coordinating with production, sales, marketing and other supply chain teams. Perform standard and ad-hoc reporting and analyses to review historical information and identify opportunities to influence supply chain process improvement, procurement tradeoffs, transportation service adjustments, etc. Track shipments, analyze demand and capacity reports for operations planning, and execute monthly inventory plan to optimize earnings and reach business goals. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Industrial/Systems Engineering, or Supply Chain Management. 2 years engineering experience in logistics industry. Salary: $57,699 year.
