Position Overview
My client is a subcontractor throughout the southeast specializing in MEP construction in industrial & commercial settings. We are seeking a superintendent for mechanical projects to lead field teams & help ensure high-quality service delivery to clients. This role involves coordinating with various parties in a construction setting, optimizing processes, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise field crews-including foremen, journeymen, and apprentices-across HVAC and plumbing scopes.
  • Coordinate daily activities with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Plan, sequence, and schedule work to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Interpret and enforce project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Conduct jobsite inspections to ensure quality, safety, and productivity standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate field documentation, including timecards, daily reports, and material tracking.
  • Oversee material deliveries, inventory, and equipment needs to support uninterrupted field operations.
  • Provide hands-on leadership, training, and mentorship to field personnel.
  • Resolve field issues, RFIs, and unforeseen conflicts quickly and effectively.
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of plumbing experience in commercial mechanical construction.
  • Prior supervisory or foreman-level experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial piping systems, plumbing codes, and mechanical installation practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and project documents.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and field management platforms such as Procore or PlanGrid.
  • Valid Journeyman or Master Plumber License (state-specific).
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
