Overview
We are seeking a Customer Success Engineer in the United States for Censys, posted by Jobgether. The role combines technical expertise with client-facing problem-solving in a fast-growing environment. You will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert throughout the customer journey—from onboarding and implementation to adoption and ongoing support. You will work with a dedicated Customer Success team to guide customers, troubleshoot complex issues, and share best practices to maximize value from products and integrations. A proactive, resourceful, and customer-focused mindset is essential to improve client outcomes, satisfaction, and long-term retention.
Base pay range
$110,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Customer Success organization to deliver a world-class customer experience.
- Respond to and resolve high-volume support requests, from simple questions to complex technical challenges.
- Guide customers through operational workflows to accelerate time to value and ensure smooth product adoption.
- Assist with deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and advice on integrations such as Cloud Connectors, Splunk, Jira, and ServiceNow.
- Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for customers, influencing product roadmap and improvements.
- Become a subject matter expert for specific areas of the platform, providing guidance and mentorship to colleagues as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to escalate and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role.
- Basic knowledge of security tools, cloud providers, and the information security industry.
- Understanding of common network protocols such as HTTPS, SSH, SMTP, FTP, SMB, RDP, and SSL/TLS certificates.
- Comfort using REST APIs and Python for troubleshooting and automation tasks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and high-growth environment.
- Resourceful problem solver with a proactive, "we-can-do-this" attitude.
- Strong desire to work closely with customers and help build easy-to-use applications and integrations.

- Competitive base salary: $110,000-$130,000 USD for high-cost-of-living locations; $88,000-$105,000 USD for other locations, plus bonus eligibility and equity.
