Engineering Draftsman and Estimating Assistant

Arrow Sign Company has a unique opportunity available as an assistant to our Engineering and Estimating Departments! Experience in the sign industry or other skilled trade is desired. We will train the right person on our industry!

Knowledge in AutoCAD is required. A basic working knowledge of how things are built is a huge plus!

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Review concept design drawings and specifications.
• Create construction shop drawings and details in AutoCad
• Research product & technical support from vendors
• Interfacing with and supporting design, fabrication and installation team
• Create As-Built Plans

Qualifications required:
• The ability to interpret design documentation
• Degree Preferred but not required, 1-3 years' experience minimum
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and other design tools
• Ability to understand and interpret architectural plans and other construction related documentation
• Familiarity with structural and architectural metals. Basic understanding of metal work processes and tooling (welding, bolting, brake forming, shearing, etc.)
• Comprehension of architectural & construction terms
• Familiar with MS Office
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Required experience:
• CAD Drafting: 3 years
