Job Title: Product Engineering Support Technician

Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Location: Fargo, ND 58102
Duration: 2 Years (Possible extension)
Shift: 2:00 AM - 10:00 PM (Training on 1st shift required)

Job Summary

Engineering Technician supporting product validation, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic/mechanical systems. Focus on test execution, data analysis, and supporting engineering teams in product development and production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform lab/field testing to validate product designs
• Conduct manual testing of electronic assemblies and document results
• Set up and install instrumentation and test equipment
• Develop data acquisition programs and collect test data
• Analyze test data and generate reports with conclusions
• Support product validation & verification (V&V) activities
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
• Assist in design improvements and continuous improvement projects
• Maintain documentation, test procedures, and records
• Provide direction to test operators when required

• Troubleshooting & root cause analysis - 1-3 years
• Test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope) - 1-3 years
• Engineering drawings/schematics reading - 1-3 years
• Data analysis & reporting - 1-3 years
• Documentation & record keeping - 1-3 years
• Mechanical/Electrical fundamentals - 1-3 years
• Computer skills (Excel, documentation tools) - 1+ year

• Product Verification & Validation (V&V) - 1-3 years

• Data acquisition & test automation - 1-2 years
• Lab equipment maintenance - 1-2 years

Education / Experience

• Associate Degree (Electronics / Technical Diploma)
OR equivalent experience/military certification
• 1+ year experience required (3+ years preferred)
