Design Engineer

Summary

Perform a variety of design/drafting activities for the Engineering group including preparing/updating drawings for projects and preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings. Create such drawings in both 2D and 3D formats using AutoCAD, Pro/ENGINEER, Inventor, and SolidWorks.

Key Job Elements

• Design, create new drawings, and maintain existing drawings using AutoCAD
• Create Engineering Change Notices and perform calculations within Excel
• Create and maintain 3D models in AutoDesk Inventor
• Create and maintain Bills of Material using LN MRP
• Knowledge of industry, engineering, math, and materials
• Spend time on the production floor to learn about the products and operation

Qualifications and Experience

• An Associate’s degree or higher in a related field, or its equivalent in a combination of formal education and direct work experience
• Entry level with basic system knowledge
• AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or 3D modeling Software proficiency
• Ability to write and perform routine mathematical calculations clearly and correctly
