Summary WR has an opportunity for a Computer/Electrical Engineer III to design, develop, test, and support complex electronic and system-level solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and mission readiness across hardware, software, and networked environments. What You'll Do Independently design electronic circuits, components and integrated systems, utilizing ferroelectric, nonlinear, dielectric, phosphorescent, photo-conductive, and thermoelectric properties of materials Autonomously design test control apparatus and equipment, determines procedures for testing products and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment Direct field operations and maintenance of electronic installations Evaluate operational systems and recommends design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks Plan and design an organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software running LINUX-based OS Analyze, develop, modify, test and maintain the system Verify and validate systems and meet internal and external requirements Diagnose problems and provide recommendations for improvement on existing and new systems Analyze potential COTS (Intel) hardware for applicability within operational systems based on specifications Develop and execute lab tests of target hardware and networks in operationally relevant scenario Collect and analyze data and make recommendations for engineering solutions Work across multiple technical domains to understand hardware, software, system, and operational constraints and needs May provide technical direction to less experienced personnel May be responsible for evaluating performance of junior staff and/or subordinates May assist in the selection, training, and development of staff May lead and direct limited tasks assigned to junior personnel What Makes This Role Different You're not just designing parts, you're ensuring systems survive real-world conditions at sea You'll work across the full lifecycle: concept design analysis testing deployment Your designs will directly support mission readiness and operational reliability You'll bridge the gap between engineering design and real-world performance Must have qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Six (6)+ years of full-time professional experience in systems engineering, with two (2)+ of the years being fulltime experience at the system level in any of the following areas: o requirements definition o system design parameters o concepts operation o risk assessment o productivity studies/analyses o performance analyses o test and evaluation o post-delivery support Preferred Qualifications Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering Experience with RF, Networks and Signal Processing Clearance Requirement Active DoD Secret Clearance The selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment third-party background check which may include verification of any of the following: Employment history; Education and/or certifications; Criminal history; Driving Records; Other records or information related to the candidate's suitability for the position.
