As PrideStaff's partner manufacturing company scales in Bend, Oregon, you'll own the Mastercam programming that brings 3- and 4-axis mills, lathes, and multi-tasking mill/turn equipment to life.
A day in the lifeYour morning starts by translating intricate aerospace drawings into efficient Mastercam toolpaths. You simulate, verify, and fine-tune code, then hit the floor to prove out programs with talented Machinists. Between runs, you engineer custom fixtures and tooling in SolidWorks, craft clear setup documentation, and ensure travelers and BOMs are rock solid. Throughout the day, you collaborate with Management, Quality, and Production Control to resolve technical hurdles, uphold AS9100 standards, and push continuous improvements that elevate safety, accuracy, and throughput.
What you'll do- Program, verify, and optimize Mastercam toolpaths for 3- and 4-axis mills, lathes, and mill/turn machines.
- Engineer purpose-built work-holding fixtures and tooling in SolidWorks.
- Create setup sheets, review Bills of Materials, and manage shop floor travelers for smooth execution.
- Validate NC code for safety, accuracy, and repeatability; champion process improvements.
- Partner with Management, Quality, and Production Control to meet AS9100 requirements and solve production issues.
- 5+ years programming 3- and 4-axis CNC equipment (aerospace background preferred).
- Expert-level Mastercam skills; SolidWorks and ERP (Infor Visual) experience are strong pluses.
- Fluency in GD&T and advanced shop math (Trigonometry); competence with metallic and non-metallic materials.
- Familiarity with AS9100 systems and precision sheet metal processes.
- Clear communicator who works independently and embodies respect and ethical responsibility.
- Proficiency: G-Code
- Equipment exposure: CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC), plus lathes and multi-tasking mill/turn platforms.
